Hanauma Bay

Last weekend we attempted to visit this place (Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve)on Saturday but the parking lot was full..so they don't allow entry into the park when this happens....so we got up super early on Sunday to make sure we got a spot to park.

It was absolutely gorgeous! It was a nice little "paved" hike to the bottom...we all had a ton of fun! We actually stayed for over 2 hours which is good for us with two little ones!! Sam played in the sand the entire time and Jack took a nice little nap so mommy and daddy were able to take turns and enjoy some snorkeling!!

This is Koko Head...our next climbing venture!! However I think we are gonna get a babysitter for this one..stairs all the way to the top!

We saw some pretty cool fish snorkeling...there are supposedly sea turtles in the area but we weren't lucky enough to spot one of those. I think mommy is gonna get certified to scuba dive...it was a lot of fun seeing all those fish and coral!

Brotherly Love

They really do love each other this much!! They boys are so cute together...they are like two peas in a pod...

I think the boys are finally adjusting to the Hawaiian lifestyle:) We have pretty much got our house all settled so it is finally feeling like "home." Sam now calls it his "home" so that has made me happy!! We are starting to get our little routine back....wake up run...feed fish/park.....play...lunch....NAPS!!(2 hrs usually and mommy tries her hardest to time it so both boys sleep)...play...park/outside....trampoline (average about 2 hrs on this baby a day:))...walk again...DADDY HOME and we tend to find some time in there for some Target and the mall:) I am very thankful we live where it is nice and warm..I can't imagine being locked inside all day...these two love it outside!

I think Sam is gonna take after his daddy and catch all the bad guys:) Both boys are growin like weeds...Sam is talking up a storm..more and more each day and Jack is getting very close to walking...he can stand on his own now..that is until Sam goes by and pushes him over:)

Air Force One

What a stud muffin!! He looks pretty sexy all geared up...esp. with a gun:) Our poor daddy has been pretty busy with work...we would be millionaires if he got paid for all the overtime he works!! We were pretty proud he other night....he got to go work with the Secret Service to protect Obama!! It was a pretty cool experience he said:) We really hate all the hours he works and the fact we never see much out of him during the week (and yes I complain a lot)...but we are so proud of him and all his hard work!! Let's just say mommy has never looked forward to the weekends as she does now!!


The Obamas vacationed in Oahu over Christmas...Air Force one landed on Hickam and it was parked here for the 10 days they were here...it was pretty cool to see.

Halona Blowhole

Here are some pictures we took last weekend from the Haloma Blowhole...it is on the Windward side of the island (East) and we actually found this place by chance...we were driving to Hanauma Bay (pics to follow)...but the parking lot was full so they close the park down when there isn't any parking...we were bummed so we kept driving up the road and happened to stumble upon this little jewel:) It is supposedly a spot where they have filmed a few movies...anyways it is a little hike down to the beach area..but beings we have turned into quite the mountain climbers we decided to try it...it was a little scary climbing down the rocks with two little ones but we made it!! The boys had so much fun...it was like a giant jungle gym with fish for Sam and Jack loved splashing in the little pools of water! We will definatley be visiting this place frequently!

A few pics of the Windward side of the Island (East side)...this is so far our favorite part of the island we have discovered so far...as you can see from the pics it is absolutley amazing!!

Night in Waikiki

We were bored one evening so we decided to head to Waikiki to check out the International Marketplace...the shopping was great down there...lots of souvenir type gifts at this place and stuff was pretty cheap and you could bargain with the vendors which was nice! We weren't able to stay and shop too long because Sam decided to have one of his meltdowns...so we bribed him to be good by taking him to get french fries and diet coke at Buffalo Wild Wings:) We did get to see the sun set along the beach which was really pretty!

Sam got an Elmo ballon from a street vendor...he was pretty proud of it! It somehow managed not to break until two days later when Jack popped an eyeball:)...Sam wasn't too happy about this...unfortunatley that was the end of Elmo:) (Aren't they handsome in their hawaiian shirts!)

Santa Came!!!!

Santa was definatley very good to us...we were a little sad to spend Christmas all alone...6000 miles away from family...but it turned out to be a really good Christmas. It was so much fun watching the boys...Sam really got into the whole Christmas thing this year which made it so much fun! Thanks to everyone for all the presents..we appreciated it soooooo much! It always makes you feel better to get presents in the mail:)

Sam justhad to have a guitar for Christmas...the only two things he asked for were a choo-choo and a guitar...

A choo-choo train for Sam and a farm for Jack...boy these two must have been good little boys this year!!! Santa sure has gotten his money's worth from these two toys...Sam is obsessed with his train...the only thing is mommy spends at least 2 hours of her day putting the train back together because Jack loves to come up to the train and "wing" it on the floor...ahhhhhh! I think at this point I could probably put it together with my eyes closed!!

Sam was so excited to leave cookies for Santa and of course carrots for the reindeer...he really wanted to leave Santa a Diet Coke but I convinced him Santa would much rather have some milk:) These two sure look like trouble in this picture???

We decided to carry on the Kline tradition of Prime Rib on Christmas Eve...daddy did a wonderful job cooking it...it was sooooo good...maybe next year Jack will get to enjoy it, he gobbled down some home-made mac and cheese for his Christmas Eve meal:)

Yay!!....Our stuff is here..FINALLY!!!

After 2 long months of living with nothing our stuff finally arrived!! I was sooooo glad to see that moving truck pull up!! Sam had lots of fun helping the movers...he loved jumping in all the packing paper..look closely..he is buried in the paper:) Mommy got a little overwhelmed when the boxes kept coming and coming and the house seemed to get smaller and smaller...there was barely any path to walk through by the time they brought everything in!! At this point I don't know if it was better having an empty house or a house so full of stuff you could hardly walk through????

This room is our kitchen...I couldn't open the fridge for 2 days because there were so many boxes stacked in front...thankfully we have gotten through all the boxes since then and are now living very happily in our little "historic" home....I will post pictures soon..almost got everything in place:)
