Happy 4th!!

We had a great 4th of July...we rented a huge bouncy house for all the kiddos to play in! They had a blast and were entertained for hours and hours...this was good for the grown -ups, we wre actually able to sit around, relax, and do a little sunbathing:) Next on the list is the giant waterslide for Sam's b-day!!

Daddy even got a chance to kick back and relax!! It was a very warm day and we probably went through a box of popsicles per kid - Jack was a mess as you can see!! We hosed him off every hour or so:)

We took the boys to the fireworks on base - unfortunately the trees blocked our view from most of the show but they had more fun running around anyways!

A huge aircraft carrier came into Pearl Harbor the other day...it was pretty amazing!

Rats!

Yes, that is right, RATS, we have RATS!! I never knew rats enjoyed bananas so much. Last week I woke up two days in a row to my bananas being half eaten by these nasty little creatures! After living in our neighbors attic for months, housing finally decide to repair the hole in their roof, however they didn't take care of the rats before they did this and they got trapped in the attic. I guess they were getting hungry so they ventured down to my kitchen..YUCK! Finally they sent some "rat professionals" to take care of the problem...only one has been caught so far so we will see...I haven't seen any evidence of them for about a week so I keep hoping they all died!! I just have to keep reminding myself where I am living:)

A Day in the Life of Jack and Sam

A little swinging...cheetoes....playing outside...cheeotes....bike rides...cheetoes...boo-boos...cheetoes...and a little dress up! And don't forget the popsicles!

This did not end well....Jack ended up doing a complete flip out of the swing...mommy thought it was funny, Jack not so much:(

We will blame this boo-boo on daddy! Daddy was pushing Jack in his car and Jack decided he was done and jumped over the hood of the car however daddy was still pushing! Just a little road rash...it has healed up nicely:)

Thanks G-ma Gloria and G-pa Dick for the awesome costumes! Sam and his friend Collin have so much fun dressing up as Buzz and Woody! The only downfall is they take forever to get off so Bizz and Woody have gotten peed on several times:)

We average at least a can of these bad boys a day!

It finally rained the other day and boy did these two have fun in the puddles!! I am tempted to flood the driveway everyday so they have something to do!

Sam is getting so good at riding his bike...he can make it all the way up the trail along Pearl Harbor! Jack is diggin this because he finally gets to ride up front and see out!

Bad Blogger:(

So I finally decided it was time I updated the blog..beings it has been over a month! Hawaii is still amazing...loving every minute of it! The boys are growing up so fast...Sam is still a stinker...still hasn't outgrown the terrible two's yet! He is actually the "easy" one now and I never thought I would say that. Jack is everywhere and into everything!! I am constantly chasing him around and pulling stuff out of his mouth (he loves rocks:)). We really look forward to naptime at our house!! Jack is finally starting to talk a little. He says shoes and juice. He will stand by the backdoor yelling "shoes" until I put them on him and take him outside:) We go through probably 20 popsicles a day...great way to keep them entertained. Daddy is still a workaholic....but he is enjoying his new job. Mommy gets kinda jealous of all the cool stuff he gets to do:) He got to go to Japan a few weeks ago and he gets to go to the Big Island in a couple weeks! Mommy keeps telling herself she isn't going to find another job that lets her have a two hour nap and sun tan everyday!

MOMMY'S 1/2 MARATHON

And it only took me 1:59:54!! I was pretty happy with that...my goal was to be under 2:00 and I did it! It was a lot of work...not sure if I am gonna go for the full marathon in December???

A NEW BIKE FOR THE BIG BOY!!

After 2 long months...Sam finally decided he would be a big boy and ONLY pee and poop in the potty!! He was a stubborn little turd...but we both survived it and life is great! However we still need to learn where it is and isn't appropriate to pee. For example it isn't appropriate to pee out of the van while the door is open onto the car parked next to you at Target:)...and it is not appropriate to pull down your pants and poop in your neighbors yard (I keep telling myself at least he was smart enough to pull down his pants:))!!

COCONUTS!

We had some coconuts growing on our gigantic palm tree and they were starting to get quite large so they came and cut them down before they fell off and injured one of us! It was pretty entertaining watching them...the guy actually climbed the tree then chopped them down and coconuts were expoding everywhere - it was a huge mess with coconut goo everywhere...they did a wonderful job cleaning it up and they even left us some coconuts to enjoy! The coconuts weren't ripe so the milk was disgusting...we are working on ripening some more so hopefully it tastes better...mommy really wants to make some yummy drinks out of it!

Sam loves the neighbor kids Collin and Claire...they have lots of fun together! We made some smores the other night and they were a hit!
